Clippers’ Chris Paul Ejected After Argument With Referee
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul always has a competitive attitude no matter what time of year it is, whether it be during a preseason or conference championship game. He showed this last night during a preseason game against the Golden State Warriors at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
With the Clippers leading the Warriors by 20 points in the early third quarter, Paul already had one technical foul for the night before he started snapping at an NBA official for what seemed to be in Paul’s eyes alleged disrespect, even though there was no sign of harm being put towards Paul’s attitude. After he was heard saying, “I got two kids of my own; don’t talk to me like I’m a little kid,” the referee signaled a second technical foul on the point guard with an automatic ejection of Paul immediately after. Paul ran off the court seconds later much to the surprise of both fans and the announcers calling the game.
The ejection did not hurt the Clippers for they would go on to win the game 130-95. The Clippers have one more preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers tomorrow before opening their regular season campaign against the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 28.
