Kyle Kuzma cemented his status as a valuable player after just one year with the Los Angeles Lakers, but his football skills seem pretty noteworthy as well.

The 6-foot-9 power forward — who will be 23 later this month — played quarterback in an NFL flag football charity game in Long Beach, California last weekend and managed to throw a few touchdown passes.

According to TMZ Sports, which shared a video of Kuzma tossing the passes, the game was held to benefit the John Ross III Foundation, which is dedicated to giving underprivileged children higher-quality educational chances.

Several other NFL stars and celebrities were present at the game. Trey Songz, Adoree Jackson, DeSean Jackson, DeShone Kizer and Sidney Jones were all in attendance.

Kuzma, a first-round (No. 27) pick out of Utah in 2017, averaged 16.1 points, 1.8 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game in his first season with the Lakers. He was also named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team earlier this year. The youngster said he is excited to have LeBron James as a new teammate, after the former Cleveland Cavaliers star signed with the Lakers in free agency on Sunday.

Kuzma also drew headlines last month after fellow Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball released a diss track in which he criticized Kuzma’s father.
