New York Giants legend and fan favorite Odell Beckham Jr. has been released by the team after trying to revamp his career, where he had the biggest impact.

Unfortunately, Beckham didn’t have the impact he’d hoped for, and even with opportunities to return to a bigger role, he failed to impress the team or make his mark.

With Malik Nabers’ injury uncertain before the season and WR Calvin Austin ruled out for the year with a torn ACL, other receivers like Braxton Berrios and Beckham had a chance to use their second-team snaps in training camp to prove their worth on the roster. Even with all of this, the Giants have decided to let Beckham go.

Nabers’ return in week one most likely didn’t play a role in this decision, but Berrios has received solid playing time, and perhaps Beckham, who played 19 snaps with no catches, was one open spot away from a bigger role.

Beckham seems to believe in himself and that another team will take a chance on him, but his time with the Giants is most likely done for good.
