Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Dončić suffered a left hamstring injury at the end of the first half against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. Dončić was later ruled out due to left leg soreness, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Dončić, 26, exited the game shooting 3/10 for 10 points in 16 minutes of action. Dončić was visibly upset when leaving the game, kicking the scorer’s table in frustration. Dončić is averaging 32.8/7.8/8.6 so far this season.

Lakers shooting guard Austin Reaves returned on Tuesday after missing an extended period of time due to a calf strain and was inserted back into the starting lineup against the 76ers. Reaves led the Lakers to a win without Dončić, scoring 35 points while shooting 70.6%.

It was nearly one year ago when the entire world was shocked to see Dončić get sent to the Lakers for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a first-round pick.

It is unclear whether Dončić will miss any time due to this injury, but if he is forced to be sidelined, the Lakers will need Reaves to step up big time. The Lakers have four more games left before the All-Star break.
