Miami Linebacker Adarius Hayes Released From Hospital After Car Accident That Killed Two

Miami linebacker Adarius Hayes was hospitalized and released after a car crash on Saturday that killed three people, including two children, in Largo, Florida.

Police have not confirmed whether Hayes was driving the vehicle, but there was no indication of alcohol or drugs involved in the accident.

A 78-year-old woman driving the car has died, according to police. The two children, Jabari Elijah Solomon, 10, and Charlie Herbert Solomon-Riveria, 4, were both killed in the crash.

All three who died were in a Kia Soul, which collided with a Dodge Durango driven by Hayes, according to police. No criminal charges or tickets have been issued at this time.

Police responded to the incident around 1:45 p.m. ET Saturday. The Durango collided with the Kia, which was making a left turn.

“This is an ongoing and active investigation, and no further information is available for release at this time,” Largo Police public information officer Megan Santo said in a statement.

Several Miami football players have offered up their prayers for Hayes online.

Hayes played in 12 games as a freshman for Miami. He finished with four tackles and an interception for the Hurricanes.
