P.J. Hairston Provides Another Candidate for Flop of the Year
Update: P.J. Hairston has officially been fined $5,000 for this theatric flop.
After yesterday’s Tyson Chandler debacle, most assumed it would be unanimously given the dishonorable award of flop of the year. Well, it appears in less than 24 hours P.J. Hairston of the Charlotte Hornets has challenged Tyson Chandler for his throne — or should I say toilet seat?
One thing is for sure the spectacle of Hairston’s flop is certainly better than Chandler’s showing. At the same time, while it is entertaining to watch, the theatrics of the former did not really do anything to change the game. There was no call and Hairston pretty much looked stupid for doing it.

So in uSports’ opinion, the flop of the year award is still held by Tyson Chandler: due to the circumstances and how late in the fourth it was, it pretty much changed the outcome of the game — DeMarcus Cousins was the best player on the court and could have helped the Kings win. Either way, this is still ridiculous: the commissioner needs to think about upping the penalty to stop this from happening.
