During the Cincinnati Bengals’ Thursday Night Football 20-34 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Joe Burrow exited the game with an injury to his right wrist. 

Burrow did not speak to reporters and is due to undergo further evaluation on Friday.

Zac Taylor, the Bengals coach, said that Burrow’s injury is a sprained wrist. 

Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase commented on the situation.

“It’s not something I was expecting,” he said. “I didn’t know he had any problems or anything. It’s just tough seeing that happen during the game like that. But I hope he gets well.”

Burrow had issues holding and gripping the football during the second quarter, and he ended up having to leave the field.

He has been dealing with several injuries this season, including a calf injury that ruled him out early in the season. 

Prior to leaving the game, Burrow completed 11 of 17 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. With Burrow sidelined, the Bengals will have to look to Jake Browning for the time being. Browning completed 8 of 14 passes for 68 yards and one touchdown against the Ravens. 

The Bengals, who are 5-5, play the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 26.
