Rangers Adolis Garcia Leaves World Series Game 3 After Hurting Left Side On Swing

Texas Rangers right fielder Adolis Garcia left in the eighth inning of Game 3 of the World Series with an apparent injury, as he appeared to have hurt his back during the swing.

Manager Bruce Bochy said that Garcia has suffered from left-side tightness and the Rangers were optimistic about his condition. 

“Doli will get some diagnostics done. [We’ll] see where he’s at,” Bochy said. “He’s a complete player. Speed, arm, can hit. The guy can do it all. We saw it [in the second inning]. And he’s accurate, too, and he loves to throw. He loves to be challenged.” 

Garcia played a significant part in the Rangers’ 3-1 victory over the Diamondbacks, mainly his work on defense, helping get several outs for the Rangers.

In the playoffs, Garcia has eight home runs, 22 RBIs and a batting average of .323. He was also the American League Championship Series MVP.

The Rangers also have to deal with injuries related to Max Scherzer, who left Game 3 with lower back tightness.
