“Despite speculation from media about my future this fall, I’m currently undecided,” Brees said on Twitter. “I may work for NBC, I may play football again, I may focus on business and philanthropy, I may train for the pickleball tour, senior golf tour, coach my kids or all of the above. I’ll let you know.”

New Saints head coach Dennis Allen was asked about the 43-year-old Brees’ tweet, and he said the team “[hasn’t] had any conversations in that regard.”

If Brees does return to the NFL, the Saints would be a tough sell as they signed Jameis Winston to a multi-year extension, brought in Andy Dalton to back him up, and still have Taysom Hill and Ian Brook on the roster.
