76ers Sign DeAndre Jordan, Release Willie Cauley-Stein

There’s an NBA record-holder named Jordan set to play for an NBA team this season—he’s not the one you’re hoping for, though.

Indeed, the Philadelphia 76ers have signed DeAndre Jordan.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and to make room Jordan, Willie Cauley-Stein was been released.

The Texas A&M product has seen action in 964 games, 775 starts, for the Nets, Knicks, Lakers, Mavericks, and Clippers, and he boasts averages of 9.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1.5 blocks in 27 minutes. He’s averaged 9.8 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game over 57 playoff games, all starts, for the Clippers.

The 13-year vet owns the distinction of being the NBA’s all-time leader in career field-goal percentage at .674 (3,587-5,323). Plus he’s the only player in league history to shoot 70% in multiple campaigns (four times).

Jordan last played for the Lakers, getting in 32 games, 19 starts, this year to the tune of 4.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 12.8 minutes with a 67.4% mark from the floor.
