On May 16, 1994, former tennis star Jennifer Capriati was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for marijuana possession.
Capriati was at the Gables Inn Motel in Coral Gables, Florida, when police entered her room after receiving information that a 17-year-old runaway was in her room. Capriati was the only person in her room at the time of the search, but officers found under 20 grams of marijuana in her backpack.
