The Chicago White Sox won 93 games last year. This year, the team is projected to win…93 games. Meh, things could be worse. They did make the playoffs in 2021—despite suffering a slew of injuries.
In 2022, the south siders have an 85.5% chance to make the playoffs, with Lucas Giolito and Dylan Cease anchoring the rotation, and Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert and the newly acquired AJ Pollock patrolling the outfield. Some projections have them as the fourth-best team in the majors.

The injury bug seems to be lingering, though, as the ChiSox’ third baseman Yoan Moncada is expected to miss the first three weeks of the season (right oblique). The club is also dealing with injuries to righties Ryan Burr (right shoulder), Joe Kelly (right biceps) and Lance Lynn (right knee surgery), lefty Garrett Crochet (left elbow surgery) and outfielder Yermin Mercedes (left wrist).
