The New York Yankees will visit the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night, and here is what you need to know.
This will be the opener of a two-game series. The Yankees (78-46, .629) are coming off a three-game home sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays, including a 10-2 rout on Sunday. The Marlins (50-76, .397) are coming off two straight victories over the Nationals in Washington, including a 12-1 thrashing on Sunday. Those two wins broke a six-game losing streak.

The Yankees are nine games behind the Boston Red Sox (88-38) for second in the AL East and the second-best record in MLB. The Marlins are fifth in the NL East, five games behind the fourth-place New York Mets (54-70).
