The New York Yankees are the must-see New York team. While the Knicks are rebuilding, the Giants, the Jets and the Rangers are floundering, and the Mets are doing God knows what out in Flushing, Queens, the Yankees are making a title run.
Though they lost 3-1 in the ALDS to the Boston Red Sox, expect the Bronx Bombers to play with a vengeance. They’re a good, young team coming off their first season with a new manager in Aaron Boone. As tough as it is to admit, they also just saw their rivals win another World Series, their second one this decade.
The team now resembles the young dynasty that won four titles in the late 90s. Aaron Judge, Luis Severino, Gary Sanchez, Giancarlo Stanton and Dellin Betances lead the way for the team in a tight AL East. The Aaron Hicks extension cements the team’s core and C.C. Sabathia‘s retirement announcement is just another reason for this squad to give it their all.
