During Thursday’s game between the Washington Nationals and New York Mets, Nationals star pitcher and reigning World Series MVP Stephen Strasburg got into an argument with home plate umpire Carlos Torres and was eventually ejected from the stands. Strasburg was not pitching that day, so he decided to sit in the stands. It did make for a funny visual when he was asked to leave.
The conflict came from a call that Torres made during the fourth inning. Torres warned the Nationals to stop chirping about the strike box then he appeared to throw someone out from their bench except it ended up being Strasburg, who was sitting in the stands behind the dugout. After the conflict, the Nationals broadcast put up a graphic of the strike zone in dispute and it seemed like the Nationals may have had a point.

The reason for the ejection appeared to be Strasburg yelling, “you’re [expletive] brutal.” at Torres which was caught on the Mets broadcast and led to the announcers apologizing to the listeners for the expletive.
