Greg Maddux is renown for being a Hall of Fame pitcher, and now he’s proven to be a cunning prankster, too.

Greg Maddux Pranks Cubs’ Kris Bryant in Workout Video

Kris Bryant– a third baseman for the reigning World Series Champion Chicago Cubs and the current NL MVP– was shooting a baseball workout video in Las Vegas earlier this week for Red Bull, one of his sponsors.

Maddux, a four-time Cy Young Award winner, decided to fool Bryant by masquerading as a sound technician. The 50-year-old former right-hander– who played for the Cubs and Atlanta Braves, among others– used a full disguise that included a wig, mustache and goatee.

After the batting practice pitcher was suddenly called away for a conflict, the sound guy volunteered to step in, much to Bryant’s surprise.

Maddux messed with the 25-year-old Bryant throughout the shoot, offering him water and hand sanitizer, along with telling him to “try to hit it on the barrel” during batting practice.

The Hall of Famer finally revealed who he was when he asked Bryant if he would autograph hit bat for “Greg Maddux.”

Maddux is currently the pitching coach for the UNLV baseball team. Bryant himself has previously pranked fans as well. He fooled the Mesa Community College baseball team last spring by posing as a European transfer and went undercover as a Lyft driver in Chicago back during his rookie season.
