Warriors’ Guard Moses Moody Suffers Gruesome Knee Injury Against Mavericks

Monday night showed the risks of competitive sports after Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody went up for a dunk against the Dallas Mavericks and came down clutching his knee in an excruciating amount of pain, which was a gruesome knee injury.

Moody’s knee seemed to buckle in mid-air, losing control and falling to the ground as play continued, leading to a missed Max Christie three-pointer before play was stopped. Moody was stretchered off the court as the entire stadium was holding its breath, including the Mavericks and Warriors benches.

“I saw the looks on the Mavericks’ faces,” Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr said to the media after the game. “Everybody on the floor was just horrified. Players care about players. They know how fragile this business is, how short their careers are, and how injuries can happen and be catastrophic. We don’t know what it is yet. We’re just hoping for the best.”

The Warriors have been plagued with injuries all year, as guard Brandin Podziemski spoke about the horrible injury, saying, “Not really words. You just hate to see it. Especially to the good people in life.”
