Villanova (16-1, 4-1 in Big East) is coming off three straight wins over St. John’s, No. 11 Xavier (whom it thrashed 89-65) and Marquette. The Wildcats are second in their conference.

Georgetown (12-5, 2-4 in Big East) are eighth in the conference.

The Hoyas are led by head coach Patrick Ewing, a former Georgetown center who played in the NCAA Championship Game three times before becoming a big NBA star. Georgetown will play on their own Capital One Arena, home of the Washington Wizards and Capitals. The former Verizon Center, it was renamed in August 2017.

The Wildcats are led by head coach Jay Wright, and boast a talented squad that includes junior point guard Jalen Brunson, who is rumored to either win a major award this year or become a top NBA draft pick.
