Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence dealt with a knee injury during the teams’ 37-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Despite this, the injury does not appear to be severe, as Lawrence says he mostly feels fine.
“I’m feeling okay. I’m going to get it checked out tonight and see kind of what’s going on. I feel pretty good. I’m walking around all right. Can’t really say much now. Want to make sure everything is checked out before,” Lawrence said.
Lawrence was injured late in after a rollout pass attempt led to a sack by the Colts’ defense. The remaining offensive plays the Jaguars made were kneel downs taken by backup quarterback C.J. Beathard.
Jaguars coach Doug Pederson commented on the starting quarterback injury, saying Lawrence might have to split practice reps with Beathard. “We’ve done this before. We did it last year, where C.J. took the Wednesday reps and Trevor took the rest of the week and played in the game. So it’s possible that happens,” he said.
