After losing his starting job to Baker Mayfield this fall, Trevor Knight will be allowed to leave the University of Oklahoma.

Head coach Bob Stoops will not block the quarterback, who is on track to graduate this semester, from transferring to any other school, even those in the Big 12, ESPN confirmed.

Knight will be eligible to play for his new program in 2016. The San Antonio native has 25 touchdowns in his NCAA career. While he has not reached the heights of 2013, when he was discussed as a possible Heisman Trophy contender, he will surely be welcomed with open arms by a program who needs help under center.
