Tom Brady Was Sensational But It’s Time To Hang Up The Cleats
Tom Brady had a superb NFL career but it’s time for him to head off to the sunset and call it quits.
Overall for arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, Brady had another respectable season – especially when you consider his age.
He passed for nearly 4,700 yards and tossed 25 touchdown passes compared with nine interceptions.
Many NFL organizations would take those numbers and run.

However, there is a multitude of reasons why it’s time to say goodbye to the NFL.
Firstly, Brady hasn’t been at his best when the competition has increased over the past two playoff appearances – which is unlike the majority of his NFL career.
Last year against the Los Angeles Rams, which went on to win Super Bowl LVI, he completed just over 55% of his passes and had a quarterback rating (QBR) of 16.4.
And he wasn’t much better against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football when he failed to develop any sort of consistency.
Most of his passes were off-target and he finished with a 24.1 QBR.
Plus, Brady is at a big disadvantage with not only his age – but his lack of mobility.
The game has transitioned into the talents of Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. It’s a much different era of football than what it was 10 years ago – or even five years ago.
Brady after the game said that he was “going to go home and get a good night’s sleep” and that he was going to take “one day at a time” following a question that asked him about his future.
If he does decide to return, it needs to be for a franchise that’s ready to win and is only missing a quarterback.
Also, the offensive line protection needs to be stout for Brady.
But there is nothing left to prove for Brady and the only thing that would remain is his desire to play the game.
As a quarterback, he has the most Super Bowl rings in NFL history by a wide margin with seven.
He also proved he did not need Bill Belichick to win a championship and have success.
Many consider Brady to be the greatest quarterback of all time, as he holds the record for all-time passing yards and touchdown passes.
