Following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl win on Sunday, questions arose about whether Tom Brady or Rob Gronkowski would retire.

While it was thought that Brady would retire after winning another Super Bowl, that is not the case. Both players announced that they plan to be back next season. “Yeah, we’re coming back,” Brady said during his conversation with the media following his seventh Super Bowl victory. Brady is currently 43 years old and has not slowed down one bit. The quarterback pulled off a classic dominant performance on Sunday to show that he is still the greatest quarterback of all time. He also set the record for oldest quarterback to play in or win the Super Bowl, most Super Bowl MVPs, and he became the only player in NFL history to win seven Super Bowls.

Like Brady, Gronkowski does not have any plans to retire. “I’ll remain unretired,” he said. The tight end had retired in 2019 after playing with the New England Patriots. Gronkowski stayed retired until his former Patriots teammate convinced him to sign with Tampa Bay. Although Gronkowski will remain active, it is unknown if he will resign with the Bucs. “I’m a free agent,” he said.

Perhaps Brady will make sure that Gronk and the Bucs agree on an extension.
