Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is in the headlines for an awkward moment two weeks ago when he remembered the late MLB analyst Tim McCarver, even though he died in 2023. Brady made sure to apologize to McCarver’s family for the mistake.
Brady wrote in his email titled “Leading Through Likability,” describing McCarver as “insightful, analytical, passionate, and immensely likable,” as he talks about leadership.
The issue with the piece was that it seemed to be breaking news that McCarver died, when in fact that was not the case.
Brady said he was thinking about the anniversary of McCarver’s death, but apparently, some words were cut during editing, leading to confusion among readers.

“I feel badly about it, still,” Brady said in a post, understanding he messed up and is taking full accountability.
Brady vowed to learn from the mistake and be better next time, saying, “There are no excuses.”
The original email was fixed, but not quickly enough, as the internet found it and wondered how a slip-up like this is even possible, especially coming from Brady, who is known for being prepared and precise.
