Attention, all soccer fans! Tickets for the U.S. Men’s National Team’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying game against Costa Rica on Friday, Sept. 1 are now on sale.

Tickets: USMNT vs. Costa Rica World Cup Qualifier Sept. 1

The qualifier — the U.S.’s penultimate home game in the fifth and Final Round of World Cup Qualifying — will begin at 6:30pm EST and will be held at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. The match will be broadcast on the ESPN and Univision Networks.

Following a 2-0 victory at home against Trinidad & Tobago on June 8 and a 1-1 away tie against Mexico, the Americans are now 2-0-2 in World Cup Qualifying since Bruce Arena took over as head coach in November 2016. The U.S. is now in third place in the six-country hexagonal with eight points behind second-place Costa Rica (11 points) and first-place Mexico (14 points). ‘

“This is going to be a critical game for us against one of the toughest opponents in CONCACAF,” Arena said. “Red Bull Arena is among the finest soccer facilities in the country, and we look forward to having outstanding support.”

This will be the first time Red Bull Arena, home of the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer, will host a World Cup Qualifier. The U.S.’s last visit to the stadium was incidentally a 1-0 friendly victory over Costa Rica on Oct. 13, 2015. The U.S. lost to Costa Rica 4-0 on the road in November’s World Cup qualifying round, one in a series of losses that led to the firing of former national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

The Americans also defeated Costa Rica 2-0 in Saturday’s CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal in Arlington, Texas.

After their game on Sept. 1, the USMNT will travel to face Honduras on Sept. 5 in San Pedro Sula and will host Panama on Oct. 6.
