Devin Booker Groin Injury update

Booker, 21, was racing down the court when he pulled up and seemed to grab his groin area, though no player seemed to hit him there. Trainers came out to attend to him.

The guard — a first-round pick out of Kentucky in 2015 — scored 46 points to propel Phoenix past the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night. He had 19 points and eight assists in 39 minutes on Tuesday.

Interim Suns coach Jay Triano said he’s unsure of the severity of Booker’s injury.

“I’ve seen guys get carried off and play the next day and guys not,” Triano said. “I’ll let the doctors figure out the severity of it. I’m sure they’ll have to do an MRI or something to see and make sure we take care of him the right way.”

Booker has thus far averaged a team-high 24 points per game this season. He was later spotted in a wheelchair and on crutches.

Kyle Lowry had 20 points and ten assists and DeMar DeRozan added 20 points in the Raptors’ (15-7) victory. Toronto, which has won four straight games, next visits Memphis on Friday

The Suns (9-17) next host the Washington Wizards on Thursday night.
