Steph Curry Nails Record-Length 61-Foot 3-Point Shot Vs. Spurs [VIDEO]
Time was winding down near the end of the first quarter. Golden State Warriors guard Shaun Livingston passed the ball to teammate Steph Curry. Curry took a quick dribble near the three-point line and tossed up a shot. It went in.
Warriors’ Steph Curry Drains 61-foot Shot
While Curry hitting from the line or deeper is a common sight for Bay Area fans, seeing him hit a shot from behind the other team’s line is still absurd. The 61-foot three-pointer went off the backboard before going in. The Warriors bench erupted and Curry ran towards them as the San Antonio Spurs and their fans were left stunned.
That basket was good for the longest shot anyone has hit all season, according to ESPN. Though the two-time former champ didn’t call bank, he claimed that he “felt” that the shot was good when it left his hand.
“I might be delusional, but every time I shoot it, I feel like it’s going in,” Curry said. “You kind of know right away whether it has a chance or not. Some of them are in and out, it’s close, whatever. That one felt great, I was running after it. A cool way to end the quarter, I just wish we had gotten the win, too.”

Against San Antonio, he struggled. Though he nailed the deep attempt, it was one of only six makes on 18 shots. He finished with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. The Warriors fell 111-105 to the Spurs and allowed the Denver Nuggets to tie them for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
