Sacramento King’s Jabari Parker & Alex Len Test Positive For COVID-19

Two more NBA players have been added to the list of athletes who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Sacramento Kings announced Wednesday that forward Jabari Parker and center Alex Len have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Both are fairly new to the Kings organization as Parker, 25, has played just one game for Sacramento after being traded from the Atlanta Hawks. And Len, 27, has only appeared in nine games for Sacramento and was also part of the trade that sent Parker out west.

Parker tested positive in Chicago and has self-quarantined since. “I am progressing in my recovery and feeling well,” he said in a statement. The former first round pick was averaging 14.7 points per game when the season paused.

Len was tested in Sacramento and said that he caught the virus early, saying “I have immediately entered isolation and look forward to being cleared and rejoining my teammates for our playoff push.” The Ukrainian center was averaging 8.3 points per game in 49 games for Atlanta and Sacramento.

The Kings went 28-36 this season. When the NBA returns on July 30, they will be one of the 22 teams in Orlando competing for an NBA title. Both players are said to be doing well with their recoveries and are expected to be ready to play when basketball returns.
