Foxborough Police Chief William Baker stated at a press conference Tuesday morning that the robbery was reported at 6:18 pm Monday. Baker added it occurred while 28-year-old tight tend Gronkowski was playing in Minneapolis, where the Patriots lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 41-33.

The nature of the items stolen from Gronkowski’s home were not revealed.

“We will have no further comment on the case until the case is solved,” said Baker.

A neighbor told a local television station he noticed that the gate to Gronkowski’s property was ajar early Sunday afternoon.

Los Angeles Dodgers right-fielder Yasiel Puig had a similar experience during the 2017 World Series. While he was playing in Game 7 at Dodger Stadium, authorities arrived at his L.A. home and discovered a smashed window and missing property.

Gronkowski had nine catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns in Super Bowl LII. He made headlines in his post-game press conference when he did not explicitly commit to playing with the Patriots next season.
