The protester who ran on the field Monday night during a game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers filed a police report against Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner. The individual was hit hard by Wagner during the incident before getting taken off the field by security.
Wagner said that he was aware of the police report but did not seem concerned or remorseful about his course of action.
“Can’t really focus on it,” Wagner said. “I’m more concerned about the security guard that was hurt trying to chase him … You just got to do what you got to do.”
TMZ Sports reported that the protester stormed the field representing the animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere, which was trying to bring attention to “the alleged theft of pigs from a factory farm.”

The individual released a pink smoke while running but was eventually brought down by Wagner and teammate Takkarist McKinley.
Wagner’s hit on the protester went viral online, as he hit the protester directly in the chest and drove them to the ground. Many have supported Wagner and his claim that he was assisting security staff.
A police report was filed on Tuesday.
Despite facing what the protester believes to be an assault charge, Wagner will continue to play for the Rams and has the team’s full support. Head Coach Sean McVay was similarly unfazed about the issue.
“I support Bobby Wagner,” McVay said. “That’s where I’m at with that. I don’t think anybody will disagree.”
The Rams went on to lose to the 49ers 24-9, falling to 2-2 on the season. Wagner had seven additional tackles and three assists in the game, leading the team in both categories. The team will spend the rest of October in California preparing for three straight home games.
