Professional Golfer Gene Siller And Two Others Found Dead At Georgia Golf Course

In Kennesaw, Georgia, three men were found dead on the grounds of a golf course, including professional golfer Gene Siller. Police are investigating who killed these men.

Cobb County police responded to a reported shooting at 2:20 on Saturday, July 3. The bodies were found by the green of the 10th hole of the Pinetree Country Club, where Siller worked as a golf pro.

Siller was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The suspect drove to the scene in a white Ram 3500 truck and shot the 41-year-old Siller in the head according to WXIA. The suspect then fled immediately.

The truck was found at the scene, still at the green, with the bodies of the two other men in the bed of the truck. Both victims suffered gunshot wounds, according to police.

One of the men was identified as Paul Pierson and is the registered owner of the Ram truck. The other victim has yet to be identified.

CNN was informed by investigators that local residents are being asked to check their doorbell cameras for any potential clues.

A nearby college, Kennesaw State University, sent an alert to the students due to the potential of a nearby threat. Later that night they were told to resume normal activities as “No credible threat to campus is indicated at this time.”

“All of us at the GSGA are deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred earlier today at Pinetree CC. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gene Siller’s family and friends,” The Georgia State Golf Association tweeted.

According to the Pinetree Country Club, Siller leaves behind a wife and two children, ages six and seven.

“Tragedy has stricken the Georgia Section PGA in the loss of our Member, Gene Siller. Thoughts and prayers for his family and the Pinetree Country Club family,” Georgia’s Professional Golfers’ Association tweeted.

Jim Richerson, PGA of America President, issued a statement: “We are truly heartbroken to hear about the senseless murder that took place yesterday at Pine Tree Country Club in Georgia that took the life of PGA member Gene Siller. PGA of America sends our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy to his family, club and the Georgia PGA Community.”
