Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is suing his parents for $3 million, alleging financial mismanagement.
According to the lawsuit, Bohm is accusing his parents, Daniel Bohm and Lisa Bohm, of using multiple limited liability companies to transfer money from his son’s account to their own.
Alec is seeking at least $3 million, as this situation dates back all the way to 2019, according to the Phillies’ third basemen. Daniel and Lisa have both denied any wrongdoing and released a statement.
“Mr. and Mrs. Bohm love their son very much and have always acted in his best interests, both personally and professionally and still do so to this day,” their attorney Robert Eckard said. “They are deeply saddened by the allegations made against them in this lawsuit and the sensational false narrative painted here, which they believe is entirely without merit.”

Alec believes that his parents “overstated certain liabilities in order to misappropriate a portion of monies,” according to the lawsuit.
Despite this news dropping on Opening Day, Alec was a big part of the Phillies’ win over the Texas Rangers, hitting a three-run homer, which was needed in a 5-3 win.
