Philadelphia Flyers Continue Winning Streak Against The Bruins
Despite having a record of 19-15-7, the Philadelphia Flyers are feeling good right now. They’re getting strong goaltending, the offense is showing signs of what it can do and, most importantly, they’re getting results. That trend continued on Wednesday night, when the Flyers won their fourth straight game by topping the Boston Bruins 3-2.
The win didn’t come easily, though, as the Flyers required two third period goals from Wayne Simmonds and Mark Streit to get the win. Both those goals were assisted by Claude Giroux, who also picked up a helper on Philadelphia’s opening goal for a three-point night.
“It’s all about confidence,” Giroux said. “Right now we have it, and we have to make sure we keep it.”
Streit, who’s goal was the game-winner, agreed that the team is feeling good about themselves and their play. “You can just feel the team has a lot of confidence. We are going in the right direction,” he said. “We don’t panic. The atmosphere in the locker room is great. It’s a lot of fun to come to the rink.”

On the other side of things, the Bruins are slumping without David Krejci and have lost eight of their last 10 games.
“Right now, it’s a frustrating time for our team,” Bruins coach Claude Julien said. “Missed opportunities at one end and mistakes at the other, so we’ve got to turn the tide.”
