Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak announced to his players on Thursday night that Peyton Manning will become team’s starting quarterback for the playoffs.
Brock Osweiler, who had been the Broncos’ starting QB up until recently, had already been benched in favor of Manning last weekend.
Manning displayed a strong performance in last Sunday’s 27-20 home win over the Chargers. The Broncos (12-4) scored a touchdown on his first drive, and the offensive line seemed to be blocking better.
One possible concern for Denver, however, is the set of potential questions Manning could receive regarding allegations of his use of performance-enhancing drugs. However, Manning is most likely expected to answer many of these types of questions after the postseason.
