First, Jaroslav Halak provided a fantastic save in an vital moment for the New York Islanders. With the two teams tied deep in the third period of game seven, John Carlson sent a puck into the Isles zone.
Halak thought the puck was going to shoot around the boards, so he went behind the net to play it. However, it took a horrible bounce and went directly towards Jay Beagle, leaving the net open for an easy goal. But to the surprise of everyone Jaroslav was able to get back in time and make a ridiculous pad save to keep the Islanders in the game.
Unfortunately, the Capitals scored a few minutes later, eliminating the Islanders and punching their ticket to the next round.

Red Wing goaltender Petr Mrazek’s save is likely the best you will see all playoffs. For all intents and purposes, Brian Boyle should have scored, placing the lightning up 3-0.
He deked out Mrazek and had the net completely open. Yet somehow Mrazek was able to use his stick to stop an unmissable goal; the save even fooled the announcer. But in the end, Tampa was able to win 5-2, sending the series to a deciding game seven.
Simply, this is why playoff hockey blows every other postseason out of the water.
