Paddy Pimblett To Fight Jared Gordon On December PPV
Paddy Pimblett is set to fight on one of the last UFC cards of the year.
The UFC confirmed today that the English native will face Jared Gordon on December 10 at T-Mobile Arena.
It will be Pimblett’s UFC pay-per-view debut.
The highly touted fighter and fan favorite has won all three of his first UFC fights; one by knockout and two via submission.
His last bout was in July when he choked out Jordan Leavitt.
According to Best Fight Odds, Pimblett is opening up as a -170 favorite.
In addition to Pimblett, the UFC is still working on setting up the main event on the December 10 card.
That could feature one of the greatest fighters of all-time – Jon Jones, who hasn’t fought since 2020.
If it happens, his opponent would either be Stipe Miocic or heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
However, Ngannou is the less likely option, as he recovering from a knee injury that required surgery and has a contract dispute with the UFC.
If the UFC fails to make either fight happen, then the main event will be the rematch of Jiri Prochazka against Glover Teixeira.
Meanwhile, middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is set to fight Alex Pereira in the main event of the November 12 PPV card.
Today, UFC 280 is taking place, headlining Charles Oliveira against Islam Makhachev.
The full main card can be viewed on ESPN+ for $74.99.
Here are the rest of the matchups today on the main card:
- TJ Dillashaw vs Aljamain Sterling
- Petr Yan vs Sean O’Malley
- Beneil Dariush vs Mateusz Gamrot
- Katlyn Chookagian vs Manon Fiorot
