According to nj.com, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said Tuesday that he had yet to decide how long the starters would play in Thursday’s game. The Dolphins and Eagles have become very familiar with each other after holding two joint practices this week (Monday and Tuesday) at the NovaCare Complex in Philadelphia.

The Eagles, led by quarterback Carson Wentz, are 1-1 thus far this preseason after defeating the Buffalo Bills 20-16 at home on Thursday.

New Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler one-year, $10 million deal with the team — who signed a as a free agent earlier this month to receive much criticism from fans and the NFL world — will learn to adjust to head coach Adam Gase’s offense.

Earlier this week, Cutler said he doesn’t think it will take long for Wentz and recently-signed Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery — who played alongside Cutler for the last four seasons with the Chicago Bears — to find chemistry on the field.

“You just throw it,” Cutler said of Jeffery. “You just throw it out there and he’ll make it right. You get him one-on-one, throw to his back-shoulder, put it over the top and it’s hard to cover a guy like that. I’m sure Carson is one of those guys that has witnessed his ability to make special catches, and go up and come down with the ball.”

Wentz has been dominant so far this preseason: he’s ten of 13 for 112 yards and a touchdown.

The Eagles are the favorites to win the game.
