The NFL is set to release its full 17-game schedule for the 2020 regular season later this week. This upcoming season, however, will see all games played all U.S. soil as the league has decided to cancel its ‘International Series’ games amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

“In order for the entire season to be played in NFL teams’ stadia under consistent protocols focused on the well-being of players, personnel and fans,” the league said in a statement.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell decided after talking with team officials, local and national governments, the NFL Players Association, medical officials, and international stadium partners, ultimately concluding that if the league wants to have a season, they have to be careful.

The league was set to play four games in London and one in Mexico City this upcoming season, something that has done for recent years in an attempt to grow the game and the league worldwide.
