Ndamukong Suh Tells Dolphins In Locker Room ‘I Run This Defense’
The Miami Dolphins have a lot to be angry about in having a 4-7 team record and losing both their head coach in Joe Philbin and offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. So veteran defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh used his strong words to address the rest of his Dolphins teammates.
According to a report from NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Suh addressed the team after their 24-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys and said the following statement in the locker room: “I run this defense, I’m going to be here for the next five years, there is no guarantee any of you will be as well. Only a handful of guys are good enough to play with me right now.” After the speech was done, it was reported that the room was split with some players seeing the statement as something a leader would say while others were saying they have never heard a statement like this before. He did criticize Rapoport’s reporting on the incident in an Instagram post last night:

The Dolphins signed Suh to a six-year, $114 million contract so it is assumed that he is not going anywhere for the next couple of years. Even though he has recorded four sacks this season, the Dolphins defense is currently ranked No. 26 in total defense among NFL teams.
