NCAA Tournament 2018 Elite Eight, Michigan Vs. Florida State (March 24) Preview: Game Time Start, TV Channel Info

The No. 3-seeded Michigan Wolverines will face the No. 9-seeded Florida State Seminoles in the men’s basketball West Region final on Saturday night, and here is everything you need to know.

Michigan vs. Florida State Elite Eight Preview

Michigan (31-7) reached the Elite Eight with a 99-72 victory over No. 7 Texas A&M earlier on Thursday, while FSU (23-11) upset No. 4 Gonzaga, 75-60 in a later contest on Thursday.

The winner of Saturday’s game will get the South Region champion between No. 9 Kansas State vs. No. 11 Loyola (Chicago) — who are also competing on Saturday for a Final Four spot — in the national semifinals March 30 in San Antonio.

The Wolverines and the Seminoles have only played each other three times in history, with Michigan holding a 2-1 edge in the series. The last meeting was an 82-80 Michigan win at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off on Nov. 22, 2013.

Despite losing three of their last four pre-NCAA tournament games and going 5-5 in their final 10, Florida State advanced to the tournament as a No. 9 seed before defeating Missouri by 13. The Seminoles upset No. 1 Xavier, 75-70, in the second round before notching another upset win Thursday night.

Michigan and FSU will face off at 8:49pm EST in Los Angeles on Saturday. The game will air on TBS.
