On Saturday night, the Toronto Raptors handled the Philadelphia Sixers easily. At the start of the game, Philadlephia got off on a 7-2 run and looked to be more than ready for their opponents but that quickly changed.
Toronto started to get in the swing of things and led by eight after one quarter, nine at the half, 11 points after three quarters and walked away with a 108-95 win despite missing some key players.
For game two, OG Anunoby will be out again due to appendicitis and coach Nick Nurse will sit Jordan Lloyd. Mike Scott will be out for the Sixers due to a barrage of foot injuries.
In Game 1, Toronto leaned heavily on Kawhi Leonard, who scored 45 points and Pascal Siakam, who kicked in 29 more. Those stars should expect to do the same in Game 2 and allow Toronto legend Kyle Lowry to focus on distributing and defense, which he did well last game, racking up eight assists. Trade deadline pickup Marc Gasol also came through big time. He used his prior playoff experience and shut down Sixers center Joel Embiid, limiting him to only 16 points and eight rebounds.

Currently, Toronto is favored by 6.5 points in Game 2. The over-under is set at 220.5. It’s important to note that after Game 1, Leonard is now 14-0 against the Sixers in his career. In those 14 games, his teams have won by an average of 14.9 points per game. As Philadelphia hopes to win a title and get the ultimate validation for “the process,” they face what may be their toughest competition in Leonard.
