David Price recorded four strikeouts in four scoreless innings, and Mookie Betts also delivered a strong defensive performance for Boston in a 10-3 victory over the Houston Astros at Fenway Park. Hanley Ramirez (4-for-4, three RBIs) and Rafael Devers (homer, three RBIs) contributed offensively.
Ramirez became the third player in Red Sox history to go 4-for-4 in a playoff game after holding a “Believe In Boston” banner aloft as he ran onto the field for pre-game player introductions.
Nevertheless, it was Price who saved the season after the Red Sox dropped their first two games in the ALDS 8-2 in Houston.
