Minnesota Vikings Have No Plans To Cut Adrian Peterson

The Adrian Peterson saga is far from over. After being reinstated last month by a judge who ruled in favor of his suit against the NFL, many have been wondering where the star running back would end up. This process reached a fever pitch when Peterson’s agent Ben Dogra got into an altercation with Vikings vice president Rob Brzezinski.

Dogra even claimed that the RB was forever done with the organization, but in early March both head coach Mike Zimmer and GM Rick Spielman attempted to amend the situation. Still, Peterson has gone on record stating, “I’m still uneasy about a lot of things that took place within the organization.”

Now, Ben Dogra has announced that the Minnesota Vikings have no plans to cut Adrian Peterson. “It was important for me to relay the position the Vikings are taking to Adrian,” Dogra told Fox Sports. “I want to make sure there is absolutely no confusion whatsoever.” The star running back still has three years left on his contract and is supposed to make $12.75 million in 2015.

Peterson has even flown to New York on Monday for another meeting with Vikings owners Zygi and Mark Wilf, so who knows what will happen with him in the coming weeks. At the beginning of March, it was rumored that Adrian wanted to be traded and had a shortlist of teams — Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Adrian Peterson was initially placed on the commissioner’s exempt list in September. He then pleaded no contest to misdemeanor child abuse charges on November 4 and was promptly suspended for the rest of the season two weeks later.
