In the wake of the Patriots first round loss to the Tennessee Titans in the Wild Card round, Patriots fans have put aside their disappointment and have turned towards hope that star quarterback Tom Brady will return to New England as he enters free agency.
Politicians have begun to weigh in on Brady’s potential departure as Mayor Marty Walsh said he would give Brady the keys to the city of Boston forever. He also issued another challenge to the quarterback of another New England Super Bowl appearance.
“I think this is going to be Tom Brady’s decision, but one thing about Tom Brady is he likes challenges”, Walsh said. “If you’re listening Tom, you got knocked out in the first round, so the challenge is to get back to the Super Bowl next year, so stay in New England.”
Robert DeLeo, State Speaker of the House, said that renaming a town or structure is a possibility for Brady, similar to what was done with Red Sox star David Ortiz.
