Well, it looks like Marshawn Lynch is thoroughly enjoying his offseason. After mulling over retirement, he signed a two-year extension worth $24 million. And now, he will appear in a new music video for Ludacris.

The famous Atlanta rapper has been making the rounds on a variety of ESPN shows, promoting both his new album and Fast 7. Now, the album Ludaversal came out yesterday and features a song called “Beast Mode,” a track that is directly inspired by Marshawn Lynch’s brand and playing style.

And while on ESPN’s His & Hers, Ludacris announced that the famous Seattle Seahawks running back will appear in the music video. “It was inspired by Marshawn Lynch,” Ludacris said. “The same way he’s plowing down people on the field, I’m plowing down people in the music industry and all these rappers. It’s a song that has no hook. It’s three minutes of just metaphors and just going in.”

He would go on to say that he just shot the music video with Lynch and how he has grown to respect the running back so much more after they met. “I met [Lynch] and literally within like two minutes I felt like we were family,” Ludacris stated. “I don’t know what it is. He’s real cool, real laid-back guy. He was a fan. He was talking about how much his mom was a fan, so I told him I’m a fan of his. We inspire each other.”

At the moment, it is unclear when the music video will drop, but look for it over the coming weeks.
