Marshawn Lynch Trademarks “So I Won’t Get Fined” Quote

In more proof that Marshawn Lynch is much smarter than the world thinks, the famous running back just filed paperwork to trademark his famous “I’m just here so I won’t get fined” quote. Lynch famously uttered this line over 20 times when being asked questions during Super Bowl XLIX’s media day.

Chris Bevans, the engineer behind the Beast Mode apparel line, told ESPN, “We heard from our fans and so many of them were saying that they wanted that phrase on the clothing. This is just listening to the marketplace.”

Of course, the famous phrase, which made Lynch an even bigger celebrity, will be planted across all types of Beast Mode apparel: including sweatshirts and tee shirts according to Bevans.

The Beast Mode brand became an instant hit when Marshawn sported the hat during his eventful media day interviews. The line instantly sold out. Still, the NFL was possibly looking into fining him for not wearing sanctioned apparel — something they eventually let slide since the hat was made by NFL sponsor New Era.

Even with this all this buzz, there is no word whether Marshawn Lynch plans to retire or accept the rumored extension from the Seattle Seahawks. As previously reported, the Seahawks hope to get an answer before March 10: the day teams could openly seek out and sign free agents.
