LeBron James Dribbles Behind His Back, Uses Pick From Tristan Thompson To Score Vs. Sixers [VIDEO]

LeBron James has displayed some impressive ball-handling in his career, but on Thursday night he performed a move that may have been one of his most amazing this season.

With less than eight minutes remaining in the first quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 108-97 home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, James used a pick from teammate Tristan Thompson to dribble behind his back, through Thompson’s legs, and race past two defenders before shooting a 2-point shot from the left side of the basket.

Rumors have recently been swirling regarding the King’s possible move to the Sixers. Fans of the franchise recently went to great lengths to help persuade James to come to Philadelphia: a company bought three advertisements and displayed them consecutively on an interstate highway in Cleveland, asking for the superstar to move to Philly. The project was inspired by the recent film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, which is nominated for several Academy Awards this year.

After Thursday’s game, 33-year-old James posted a photo on Instagram of himself and Ben Simmons.

“I told y’all a while back that my young King was next in line! Getting better and better every night out!” wrote James, referring to Simmons. “Remember lil bro settle for nothing less than GREATNESS!!! @bensimmons.”

Meanwhile, Joel Embiid also praised James and said it was always great to play against “one of the best to ever play the game” in his own Instagram post:

Embiid finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds on Thursday.

The Cavaliers 36-25, third in Eastern Conference) next host Denver on Saturday night. The Sixers (33-2733-27, sixth in East) will next host Charlotte on Friday night.
