L.A. Rams Unveil New Uniforms

You can add the Los Angeles Rams to the list of teams who rebranded this offseason, as the team unveiled new uniforms for the 2020-2021 NFL season on Wednesday. The Rams become the seventh team this offseason to release new uniforms.

The Rams uniform release comes on the heels of the team unveiling a new logo and color scheme back in March. The franchise will also be debuting their brand new stadium, SoFi Stadium, next season.

The team’s new look will feature a blue jersey with yellow numbers and can be paired with either blue or yellow pants. The Rams will also wear an off-white colored uniform with corresponding pants. The helmet will be a metallic chrome blue with yellow horns on the side and a blue face mask.

The goal of the new uniforms, according to Rams COO Kevin Demoff is not only to have a modern look, but also still have some of the traditional elements of Rams uniforms in the past. “Our focus was always, this is going to be an amazing, iconic, modern building. You want the uniforms to match the style and design of the building,” Demoff said. “But still have the tradition and some elements that our fans have grown to know and love. I think that’s a balancing act for any team to go through this as you move forward.”

Rams players are excited for the new look as well. Rams receiver Robert Woods, who played for USC with their iconic uniforms, said that these are the coolest uniforms he has ever donned. “I already told my friends this is the coolest jersey I ever wore, I ever got to put on. It just feels like we’re a part of something new and exciting … We’re setting the trend, really.”

Rams offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth said, “I really enjoy the color combos, and I think our away uniforms are going to be some of the best in the league. I really think that bone color is going to be amazing, so I’m excited about it.”

With the release of these new uniforms, continuing on the rebrand the team has undergone ever since they moved back to Los Angeles in 2016, Demoff has said there are different combinations of their uniforms that they will unveil in the coming years.
