Actor Kevin Spacey has recently become somewhat of a good luck charm for the Florida Panthers this season.

The team reportedly met Spacey on a road trip before going on a franchise-record, 12-game winning streak. The Panthers paid tribute to Spacey’s good luck by having their best player from each victory don the “Spacey In Space” hoodie.

On Saturday night, the House of Cards star attend the Panthers’ home game against the Detroit Red Wings. The Academy Award winner seemed happy while wearing the famous blue hooded sweatshirt, which depicts his face floating in the galaxy, in outer space.

Fans also joined in on the fun by busting out cutouts of Spacey’s face, which the Panthers handed out.

The Panthers (40-23-9) lost to the Red Wings 5-3 on Saturday, despite being in first place in the Atlantic Division going into the game.

Spacey visited briefly with the players in their locker room after the game.

“He congratulated me on my new contract and said he wanted a piece of it,” said the Panthers’ Aleksander Barkov, who got a $35.5 million extension over six years. The Red Wings seemed equally excited by Spacey’s presence.

“It was pretty cool seeing Kevin Spacey in the stands,” Dylan Larkin said. “The crowd got pretty crazy, so that was a cool moment.”

The sweatshirts sell for $40. Proceeds go to the Florida Panthers Foundation and the Kevin Spacey Foundation.
