Houston Texans‘ star quarterback is currently unhappy with the team. Rumors have it that the 25-year-old Deshaun Watson is considering requesting a trade.
The three-time Pro Bowler has been upset after the team hired Nick Caserio to become their new general manager. It was not the hiring that bothered Watson but rather the lack of communication from the team.
The quarterback had just signed a four-year contract extension worth $156 million in September. The QB had recently met with the team owner Cal McNair about possible candidates for the then-vacant general manager spot. This gave the impression that the organization would consult with the players about any hirings before finalizing a deal.
Instead, the team went on to hire Caserio without talking or telling the star quarterback. Furthermore, the team did not even finish getting a list of candidates from the 25-year-old. To add more to it, Watson found out about the hiring on social media.

Subsequently, the Pro-Bowler has been ignoring calls from the team and has not spoken with executives in days. Furthermore, he has quietly asked teammates about a possible trade request.
If the 25-year-old were to request a trade from the team, they would get draft picks in return. The young quarterback has been showing potential and is coming off a career season. He comes off throwing 33 touchdowns, 4,823 passing yards, and a competition of 70%. He finished with a high passer rating of 112.4.
