Get The Gear: Best Of The NFL

As the new year approaching, the NFL’s season is entering crunch time. While a few teams have clinched their divisions, the vast majority of the league will be fighting it out for the remaining spots over the next two weeks. And with so many teams still mathematically alive, it’s sure to be a race to the finish.

With those big games on the horizon, you have to be prepared to support your team. Whether you’re watching at the stadium or from your couch, we’ve found some of the NFL’s best gear to help you represent.

Steelers Christmas Sweater

If you want to get on the ugly Christmas Sweater bandwagon, the NFL has you covered with several designs for each team. But if you’re a Steelers fan, you’re in luck; your sweater is the ugliest in the best possible way.

At the heart of the sweater is a logo the Steelers briefly used in the ’60s, featuring a steel worker punting a football off of a steel beam. It’s hard to think of any logo that would be as perfectly goofy for a sweater like this.

Eric Berry Jersey

On the opposite side of the spectrum, there are few looks as classic in sports as a red Kansas City Chiefs jersey. Other than an AFL patch, which was added to honor the team’s late founder Lamar Hunt, the jersey is virtually the same as it was in the 1960s when the Dallas Texans moved north and became the Chiefs.

As for the choice of player, Eric Berry gets the nod since running back Jamaal Charles is done for the season. In addition to being a great defender, Berry returned to action this year after missing most of last year as he underwent treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Panthers Championship Shirt

General wisdom frowns upon buying conference or division championship gear; after all, there’s a bigger prize on the line after the regular season ends. This Panthers shirt gets a pass though.

Given just how good Carolina has looked this year, it’s understandable to want to commemorate the run, even if it’s still alive. And this shirt does a good job of balancing the team’s current swagger with enough subtlety to actually be wearable.
